| “Jason
Norris plays some inspired mandolin with a very nice touch, reminding
me at times of Bill Monroe and at other times of Chris Thile.” ---Bluegrass
Works |
| Jason
is known for being the “I’m gonna go out and jam with everyone at
this festival” guy in the band. He started playing mandolin at age
9, and has picked up the guitar, fiddle, and bass along the way. He
is well known for his contagious musical enthusiam and is often seen
at yelling “Happy Bluegrass!!!” to everyone he sees at
Alaska festivals. |
| When
he isn’t on the road, he teaches music lessons in Girdwood,
Alaska. In his free time, he keeps up his image as the most muscular
member of Bearfoot by skiing at Alyeska, or riding his bike to Anchorage.
In addition, he finds time to devise ingenious alternative sleeping
techniques. Click here to see his
sleeping arrangements at the Hunter Creek Bluegrass Festival.. |
