RIDER TO CONTRACT

1.
Artist
shall receive equal and 100% sole exclusive headline billing in any and all
advertising and publicity, and shall close the show at each performance during
the engagement hereunder, unless specifically provided herein. All opening acts must be cleared by
Artist.
2.
All
advertising and publicity used in the billing of the Artist shall include the
Artist's name (Bearfoot) in bold type. Please
provide the appropriate telephone number for ticket information that could be
printed on our mailings.
3.
Only
photographs sent to Presenter by Artist's Representative shall be used in
publicizing this engagement.
4.
All
payments provided hereunder shall be made by cash, money order or check
(certified, cashier's, approved
company or school) payable to Bearfoot. Any
such payment shall be made in U.S. currency, unless otherwise specifically
provided herein. It is understood
by all parties that the agreed upon contracted talent fee shall be exact amount
due Artist under the terms of this Agreement. Any insurance fees, local or state taxes, or any other
expenses shall be the responsibility of the Presenter unless agreed upon in
writing on Artist's contract.
5.
When a
percentage figure is made part of this agreement, the Presenter agrees to
present, at the end of the engagement, a ticket manifest, and all unsold
tickets for verification to Artist or Artist's Representative.
6.
Presenter
agrees to make ten (10) complimentary tickets available to Artist or Artist's
Representative, the unused portion of which may be placed on sale the day of
the performance, with the permission of Artist or Artist's Representative.
7.
Presenter
shall not allow the audience to enter the place of performance until the
technical set up has been completed.
Artist shall complete said set up one hour prior to the time of
performance, provided that Presenter makes the place of performance available
for said set up at least three (3) hours prior to the time of the
performance. Presenter will
make a diligent effort during the performance to maintain a quiet listening
audience. The audience shall
be seated prior to the performance.
8.
DRESSING
ROOM: Presenter shall provide a
quiet, heated/air conditioned and well lighted dressing room in a private
backstage area, provided with washing facilities, soap and towels and an iron
and ironing board. The dressing room should be secure for
the storage of Artist's equipment and personal belongings. Presenter agrees to
provide reasonable backstage refreshments for Artists and there entourage, to
include hot tea, 6 microbrews, ½ pint of MakerÕs Mark Whiskey, a $12+
bottle of cabernet sauvignon, and bottled water. Any other refreshments such as fresh fruit, vegetables, dip,
crackers, cheese, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Food with PARSLEY may result in the DEATH of the bass player! This includes salsas, salad dressings, sauces etc. Please look at the ingredients in all
food!
9.
Dinner:
If dinner is to be provided, a healthy dinner is preferable 1.5 to 2 hours
ahead of the show (Please no salmon except in Alaska).
10. STAGE REQUIREMENTS: A stage allowing ample room for the
equipment specified hereunder and five (5) musicians.
11. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: SEE
ATTACHED. Additional copies are
available from www.bearfootband.com/
in the promo section.
12. Presenter shall provide a
professional quality lighting system, with warm from and rear washes (please
have at least blue, red, and white gels available).
13. TRANSPORTATION: In the event that Artists arrive in
your area by air, boat, train, etc., Presenter agrees to provide and pay for
adequate and acceptable transportation for the Artist to the venue and back to
the place of departure.
14. In the event that lodging for the
Artist are not being provided by Presenter, a recommendation for lodging close
to the venue would be greatly appreciated.
15. Please provide, with return of
contract and rider, detailed directions to the performance site and lodging, if
applicable. Contracts cannot be processed without this information.
16. Any television, radio or press
appearances, or the recording or broadcast of any performance, must be cleared
through Artist.
17. CANCELLATION: The agreement of the Artist to perform
is subject to proven detention by sickness, accidents, riots, strikes,
epidemics, acts of God, or any other legitimate conditions beyond his control.
** Please
note: last minute Federal Express
requested publicity material will require your billing number. We will be happy to Priority Mail any
requests that are received at least four days before their use.**
In order to
help us promote this event, we request that you list the telephone number and
email address/website address of the venue for ticket information.

SOUND
REQUIREMENTS: Sound
system should be checked out and in good working order before artists arrive
for their sound check.
1. A high quality
sound-reinforcement system that should contain:

A Mixing console with at least 8
channels and phantom power
4 bands of EQ on each
channel with sweepable midrange or
31 band graphic EQ on
the front of house left and right channels and 2 monitor channels
2 monitor speakers (with
independent mixs)
3 boom stands
6 Twenty footXLR

(Artists
will supply two Shure KSM 32s microphones and 1 Audio Technica Pro 37)

Three small boxs or tables (3ft. high) set up behind performers; one for the
bass amp, one for them to put their cases or racks on, and one behind the
curtain on stage right to set the
two wireless receivers on.
3.
A qualifed sound engineer.
Note: Artists typically
perform a choreographed set using three high quality studio microphones along
with a bass amp. They control the instrument mix through this method. Rarely,
the particular room dynamics make this presentation style difficult. In this
event, they can switch to a more conventional setup using 9 microphones (Shure
SM 57, Shure Beta 87, AKG C1000). Presenter should have provisions for quickly
acquiring these microphones in the event they are needed.
